Chapter 1 - Gen 7 - Ocean

"Ocean we need to chat"

"What about Dad"

"Your future" he replied

That's when he sat me down and explained everything to me, I had no idea about the responsibility I was about to be given.

I am Ocean Swan and I have just graduated from school and become a young adult.

I am a Slob, Virtuoso, Artistic, Brave and Hopeless Romantic  and my Life Time Wish is to become a Forensic Specialist - DNA Profiler.

At the moment I am living with my parents, my Uncle Noah and two brothers, but I will soon be moving into a house of my own.  My oldest brother Oliver is now married to Kim and they moved out a while back.   This is my brother Ole, we had planned to get a place together when we were old enough, it was something that we dreamed about when we were teenagers, but Dad has put a stop on it.  Even though Ole is older than me and a young adult, Dad is still taking control of his life because he does not seem to be able to do it for himself.  Ole keeps getting the sack,  He has had two jobs which he has been sacked from.  He wants to become a Creature Robot Breeder, but the way he is going, I can never see it happening somehow!!.  He has managed to get re-employed  by the Science Facility - third time lucky, and Dad said I have enough responsibility to handle without looking after my lazy, work shy brother!!!

This is my little brother Owen, he has only just become a teenager and because of the age gap between us, to be honest I do not really know my little brother very much I have always been closer to Ole who is only a few years older than me.  Owen has decided he wants to be a World Renowned Surgeon like Dad, something that Mom is also trying to achieve.

But Mom, is having to take more time off work at the moment, as my parents have surprised us all and we have another little brother on the way.  Mom is pregnant again and Dad being a Doctor already knows that the baby is a little boy. 

 I over heard them talking and I don't think this will be the last pregnancy she has, as she has told my Dad she wants a total of ten children - she must be mad!!!!

My Uncle Noah is something that I can not even begin to understand!!!  One minute he is a ghost - the next he isn't.  We have never been told how this happened and it baffles me, Ole and Owen a little.  Dad has told me though that the answer to what happened to Noah is the book he gave me, and if I was ever to read it, I was to keep it myself and that I would understand why!!

"So you think you can handle this responsibility I am giving you?" Dad asked

"I am sure I can!!"

"Good, please don't let me down Ocean, the future of our family is relying on you!!!"

"I won't let you down Dad!!

"Take these two books and this teddy, its time we got your bags pack, your new house is ready and waiting for you."

"I don't get why the teddy?"

"That teddy has been around since the first generation of the second book, so when you pass on those books to one of your children, make sure that teddy goes too!!"

"Ok Dad"

So here I am standing outside my new home.  I feel really lucky my Dad had my house built in the best part of town, most people only ever dream of owning a house along this road.  Even though this house looks only small, it is very conceiving from the outside it looks small, but inside, there is plenty of room to house a big family.  Three large bedrooms in the attic space, on the ground floor there is a livingroom, kitchen and dining room, laundry room, nursery and bathroom, and something every vampire should have - a basement, which is my favourite part of the house, with a swimmingpool, hottub, gymn, another bathroom and a music area.  I can already tell I am going to love living here!!!!  

 Only one thing my Dad warned me about was my neighbours!!!  Unfortunately it seems everything comes with a price, and owning a house in the most sort after part of town comes with the price of having "them" as neighbours!!!!  I really don't know what my Dads problem is with them - I have never had a problem with them, not that I know them too well!!!

The first thing you come accross when you go upstairs into the attic space is this large waste of space, that is quite easily big enough  a room of its own  Off this are three nice sized bedrooms

well it will be eventually, I just don't feel like I need such a huge bed all to myself just yet.

I had already got myself a job in Law Enforcement, my boss is Horrace Hess who I don't know and I don't start work until tomorrow.  Trying to think of something to do to pass the time away - I had an idea - curiosity I suppose, I decided to do the neighbourly thing.........

and go and say hello to my new neigbours.
